COVID-19 Update

VO is implementing a plan focused on recruitment and deployment of volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19. As part of that plan we will be working with Ottawa Public Health and other agencies to ensure proper screening and training protocals to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Within the next week, volunteers will be able to register for COVID-19 specific volunteering, including virtual volunteering, food delivery and transportation, and agencies will be able to post and/or send VO their COVID-19 specific needs for volunteer matching. We are looking for individuals who have experience with writing, design and media content management primarily for print materials including our annual report. The content and graphics once developed will also be distributed on various platforms including twitter, fb, LinkedIn, Instagram, and our website.

We wish to raise awareness about the important nutritional, educational and medical work that we do in South India and world wide. We are looking for someone preferably with not-for-profit experience who can write content, design graphics and develop media that will help our non-profit continue to grow in Ottawa and across Canada to support our work in South India.

Do you have the following qualifications: - Proven writing and design communications skills - Highly-motivated, self-driven and well-organized - Research experience to determine current industry trends.

Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally is a registered charity that relieves the effects of poverty and creates new opportunities in South India. Locally we share by engaging volunteers and building awareness of the needs and opportunities that people in South India and Nepal face. We support awareness in local communities throughout the world for our programs and the direct beneficial relief that the programs deliver. Globally we share by engaging volunteers all over the world in supporting our charitable partners as we carry out several nutritional, medical, educational and Worldwide disaster relief programs that relieve poverty and create the foundation for social change.
