How will this volunteer opportunity benefit you?
Great opportunity to be part of an exciting new project with great precedents in other Canadian cities.

How will the organization benefit?
This opportunity provides a unique volunteer opportunity for an accountant with interest and experience in the non-profit sector. PAL Ottawa was incorporated in 2012 and currently has a modest operating budget around $50,000 per year. It is volunteer led with part-time contractors for communications, projects, fundraising, record-keeping and bookkeeping. A preliminary feasibility study was done in 2015 to create a business plan for a non-profit affordable live-work residence designed for senior arts workers which relied upon a partnership model. A serious partnership is now in negotiation and we anticipate the residence opening in 2023. PAL Ottawa is a chapter of a national network called PAL Canada.
