VO is recruiting and deploying volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19 in Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark County and Renfrew County while ensuring proper screening and training protocals to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Please see the intake portals for volunteers, for members, and for other agencies on our hompage. VO’s COVID 19 volunteer deployment program is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and the Ottawa Community Foundation.

Description

Ottawa JazzWorks is seeking 2 volunteer Board Members to create and direct fund-raising initiatives for our organization. We are a Not for Profit organisation and Registered Charity. Our focus is jazz education for adults and talented youth... offered through workshops, master classes, a Concert Series and special events. We present a varied program of activities, that also includes monthly jam sessions and vocal open mic evenings in the Ottawa community.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with JazzWorks Canada. As we are an organization focused on growing and fostering a healthy Canadian jazz community, please discuss your interest/passion for jazz music in your application, as well as any relevant jazz music experience which may be helpful within the JazzWorks programs.

We are a volunteer-based organisation…with a small amount of funding from the City of Ottawa. In operation for 25 years, we need new volunteers to lead and assist with our fund-raising efforts to sustain our current programs and support to develop new offerings.
