COVID-19 Update

VO is recruiting and deploying volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19 in Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark County and Renfrew County while ensuring proper screening and training protocals to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Please see the intake portals for volunteers, for members, and for other agencies on our hompage. Front Desk Attendant - Rideau Community HUB


Organization: Volunteer Ottawa

Commitment: Short term (less than 6 months)

Availability: Days

Language Preference: Bilingual

Number of Positions Available: 6

Location: Ottawa - East

Deadline: Jun 10, 2020


Staff the reception desk at all times.
Open the front door for all staff entering the building (doors will remain locked at all times.)
Ensure all staff entering and exiting the building is Signing IN & OUT.
Ask the staff to voluntarily declare their health status and symptom free (I'll share the OPH guidelines on this process.)
Monitor staff Temperature (we will provide infrared thermometer) and enter on sign-in sheet.
Require all staff sanitize their hands once in the building (dispensers are installed in the lobby.)
Coordinate with the custodian on duty for special requests or emergency.
Coordinate with cleaning company for washroom cleaning requests.

All volunteers will be trained and oriented on the nature of assignment. They will provide all PPE to all volunteers and the volunteer will also have a list of orgs allowed access on any given day.
