The Capital City Condors are a family of ice hockey teams for individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities who due to their nature of the condition, would not be able to play on any other hockey team. Players ages 6 years and up of any ability are welcome!
The Condors teach "Learn to Skate" right up to Advanced Hockey Skills. We have a low volunteer to player ratio ensuring that each player gets the care and attention they require.
The Condors participate in weekly practices and intersquad games as well as many community friendship games throughout the season. They also are members of Special Hockey International and are affiliated with Hockey of Eastern Ontario and Hockey Canada. These affiliations enable the Condors to attend national and international tournaments in Canada and beyond!
Although our program is about hockey, our focus is on acceptance, inclusion, and friendship! We recently coined #biggerthanhockey because it captures the heart of what the Condors is all about!

Volunteer Opportunities

Organization: Capital City Condors
The Condors are booming and as such we need more on-ice coaches for our "learn-to'skate" program which runs weekly Saturdays from 2-3pm at Jack Charron Arena.
Confident skating, a willingness to learn, and a heart for the special needs community are are all that are required!
Location: 10 McKitrick Dr., Kanata
Deadline: Mar 31, 2018
