Our centre in Toronto, which has been open for three years, has had great success providing therapy and counselling, peer support, a legal clinic, fathering programs, mentorship and support services for male victims of trauma and violence. They provide services, research, advocacy, outreach and public education on all aspects of men's issues and focus on the health and well-being of boys, men, fathers and families. However, we are only beginning to develop programs here in Ottawa.

Psychologist/Member of Board of Directors
The Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF) is a hub for the health and well-being of boys, men, fathers and families newly founded in Ottawa. The Centre is an open, inclusive and safe space, providing peer support, a legal clinic, fathering programs, mentorship and other services for men and families. We provide services, research, advocacy, outreach and public education on all aspects of men’s issues.
We are looking for a psychologist to join our board of directors to provide knowledge and insight in relation to men’s health and well-being, and to provide supervision for the Canadian Centre for Men and Families Counselling and Therapy Program.
This opportunity is best suited for an individual who has a passion for helping those in need and providing services for men and families to help build stronger communities and healthy families.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide supervision for up to 3 counsellors, social workers and psychotherapists during counseling and therapy sessions.
Contribute to monthly board meetings to assist in establishing and maintaining the direction of the Centre.
Be a positive representative of the CCMF in the Ottawa community.

Qualifications and Skills:
This opportunity is best suited for a Psychologist with experience in men’s issues including; relationship problems, stress and anger, parenting and family issues.
