TASK DESCRIPTION - ARTIST-MENTOR VOLUNTEER
STUDIO 507
Introduction:
The purpose of Studio 507 is to offer a welcoming, supportive, and equipped studio space with materials to community artists. Studio 507 serves a population of local community artists who wish to pursue their art, but may not have access to supplies or space.

The Studio operates every alternate Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. on the main floor of Centretown United Church, 507 Bank St. The Studio is facilitated by artist mentors and other volunteers under the oversight of the Studio Coordinator.

The role of the Artist-Mentor is to:
• Encourage and assist artists to develop their skills, answer questions, offer feedback as well as demonstrate painting and drawing techniques

• Provide positive, constructive feedback in a non-judgmental manner. Engage and chat with artists
