We are a supportive housing provider in Ottawa Centre with a passionate mission to help our residents rebuild their lives with quality programming in a supportive community. All the research points to individuals healing themselves more easily with the correct supports in place. At Daybreak Non Profit Housing we believe that we can inspire our residents to reach independent living with the right supports in place.


Volunteer Opportunities

The Peer Support Worker will be male, between the ages of 40 and 50 who will have lived experienced with homelessness, addictions, poverty and/or mental health. He will be engaging, and committed to visiting the men every second week. He will demonstrate empathy, resourcefulness and good communication. He will spend time in the house as a peer companion, providing social interaction, information regarding outreach services and mentorship as appropriate.

The Event Planner will work closely with the Executive Director to organize and implement small events that engage the community, provide a high profile and encourage donations. The individual should have some experience as an event planner: energetic, confident, organized, creative, resourceful and committed to see the project through to implementation.
