The mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is: To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life. Our programs provide hope for the future through the support of MS research into the cause, treatment and cure of the disease and hope for today through our many services that assist people with MS and their families. We are a non-profit organization and have been firmly established in the Ottawa community since 1950. We offer a variety of programs and services to our members as well as raising funds for research for a cure.

Volunteer Opportunities

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s GoHere Washroom Access Program has partnered in Ottawa with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada – Ottawa Chapter and the GottaGo! Campaign to increase washroom access at local organizations for people living with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and other chronic conditions or disabilities. Organizations registered with the GoHere program indicate their participation by displaying an easily identifiable GoHere decal on a public-facing window, and are searchable on the GoHere Washroom Locator mobile app. An additional universal accessibility wheelchair decal indicates an organization has washroom facilities accessible to individuals living with disabilities as well as members of the public.
