VO is recruiting and deploying volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19 in Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark County and Renfrew County while ensuring proper screening and training protocals to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Please see the intake portals for volunteers, for members, and for other agencies on our hompage. VO’s COVID 19 volunteer deployment program is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and the Ottawa Community Foundation.

We provide a range of hospitality and arts-based programs for residents in Carlington, including a daily drop-in (Monday - Friday, 10 am - 12 pm), a studio space for artists, and special-interest classes and groups.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are seeking a volunteer for Tuesday mornings for our breakfast take-out program. The volunteer should arrive around 9 am to prep, and then help serve clients from 9:30-11. It is a take-out programs for residents of Ottawa Community Housing, serving a brown-bag breakfast, and hot coffee or tea.

Please note that masks are required and social distancing measures are in place to ensure the safety of our volunteers and participants.
