Get Found! Google AdGrants for Non-Profits: $10,000 per MONTH.

You read that right: ten THOUSAND dollars of AdWords EVERY MONTH. That’s $120,000 of advertising per year, and eligible non-profits can get it for free. You need to get on this one.

What are Google AdWords Grants?

Google gives up to $10,000 per month in free AdWords advertising per month for eligible non-profit organizations. Let’s break that down:

  • $10,000 in monthly credit towards Google AdWords (i.e. in-kind, not cash)
  • There is no end-date on the donation

How does Google AdWords work?

Google Advertising uses keyword-based advertising and pay-per-click.

Keyword-based advertising means that the ads are linked to specific words or phrases which you specify. If someone enters a search term which matches that word or phrase, the ad will appear. Google Ads appear at the top of search windows.

Pay-per-click means you only get charged when someone clicks on your ad. So if the ad is not relevant to the user, then you won’t get charged, no matter where it appears on the search window. But you don’t actually get charged anyway because you have a grant. You’re covered up to $10,000 worth of clicks every month. That’s a lot of clicks.

Why use Google AdWords?

Studies show that over 90% of adults use online searches to find information[1]. You need to be where people are looking. All you need is a website (and you have a website, right? Come to our WordPress workshop to learn how to set up a professional website for no price above the hosting fee.)

How do I get AdWords?

  1. Any Canadian non-profit organization can register with TechSoup Canada.
  2. Register with Google for Nonprofits (G4NP)
  3. Create a Google AdWords account
  4. Enroll for AdGrants
  5. Google will check that you’re legit, then activate your account.

How do I learn how to actually use AdWords?

Come to our workshop! David Bird will teach you everything you need to know to get started with this program.
